Brazilian Passion Fruit Mousse (Maracuja)


8 passion fruits
1 tablespoon sugar
1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
2 cups cream

Break the passion fruits in half and empty the contents into a bowl, mix with hands to soften the pulp. Strain the contents through a sieve or cheesecloth. Stir in sugar and sweetened condensed milk. In a chilled bowl beat cream until stiff peaks form. Fold 1/3 of the cream into the passion fruit mixture. Finish by folding in the remaining cream until you have an even consistency. Refrigerate for 1 hr.

Serve with various fruits such as kiwi, strawberries, bananas, or apple slices.
